The Band Bus

What happens on the band bus stays on the band bus.

100 Posts Later

This is post 100, so some nastalgia is needed. On post #1 (and 2) I had just returned from the Band All Nighter. Something may or may not have happened between Scott and Becca (*sigh* Becca...), but most of my night was spent with Jeremy. What I would give to return to a night that simple.

Nowadays, I'm worried about something happening between Scott and Andrea. I trust them both individually. Together, though, they're unpredictable. To put it bluntly, Andrea isn't the best judge of character. She's got a good head on her shoulders, but seldom does she use it, particularly around boys. Now I know a little about what Bre was going through back in the S&B days.

I'm pretty sure I'm over Jeremy. That is, until I'm actually around him. Every time he comes close, my head grows fuzzy and I can't think straight. I love it and hate it at the same time. That made Friday night perfect, save for a few minor things that I'm going to ignore for the time being.

In adition to the company of Jeremy, FNF rocked for a number of reasons. The first was finding out that I'm actually not that bad at DDR. God, I have to get that game. Not the crappy one that Elyse had that I kinda just ended up with, but one that has challenging levels (like the Samaurai one! That level was AWESOME!). The second reason was EEEEEE!! placing first in not one, but 2! games of laser tag. I placed first while playing as Milhouse and Ned Flanders, placed 3rd and 8th while playing as Darth Vader, and placed 4th while playing as Sirius Black (I hated that pack, despite the name which I love oh so very, very much. Unlike all the other packs, you couldn't see the laser when you shot. Luckily, though, I'm such a good shot that I didn't really need it). Another reason is...well, no, actually, I think that about covers it. Yep, allI need is Jeremy, DDR, and first place and I have a perfect night. Oh, and having $56 is pretty nice, too.

Intro to GAFF

If have read some seriously bad fanfics in my day, even written a few myself, but the stuff compiled on Godawful Fan Fiction is just painful. The multitude of people who've been emotionally scarred for life on this site is frightening. The most infamous, apparently, are Agony in Pink (A Power Rangers torture/mutilation/rape fic) and Celebrian (an LOTR...well, I'd rather not say). Being the curious idiot that I am, and feeling that my emotions had not been scared in quite some time, I chose to read them.
The first one, Torture in Pink, just made me want to take a cold shower. I dressed up as the Pink Power Ranger for Halloween, once! How could they!?
The second, Celebrian, made me want to jump into an ice cold river. It is so painful, certificates are actually awarded to those who've suffered through to the end. I've only just finished 1/6 of it and I've shuddered at least 20 times. Its even more painful than the horny Dumbledore story, and THAT ONE was bad!
Well, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to try and erase some of these images, or, failing that, think of something eles. Lalala...Jem, Scout, Atticus, hardened orc cock...AHHHH!!! NOOO!! THE PAIN!!!

There's always next year...

YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I'VE HAD TO SAY THAT!? THIS YEAR, LAST YEAR, THE YEAR BEFORE THAT, AND THE YEAR BEFORE THAT!!!!

BUT HOW DO WE NOT WIN IT THIS YEAR!?!?!?!??!?!?!?! UNDEFEATED FOR THE LONGEST TIME, ARE BEST PLAYERS ARE IN THEIR PRIME, SO HOW IN GODS NAME DO THE COLTS NOT GO ALL THE WAY!?!?!?!?

We were so close!! SO FUCKIN CLOSE!!! WHY'D HE HAVE TO MISS THAT FIELD GOAL!?!? IT'S JUST THE STEELERS, FOR CHRIST SAKE!! They smoked em last time! WHAT THE HELL'S DIFFERENT?!

*Hits head sharply on desk* Oh, screw this. I'm watching figure skating!

First Drive of the Year

Freshman Initiation

It's not being shoved in lockers or given swirlys. It's not even the ungodly amount of homework we're given on a daily basis. It's finals month. In middle school during this time, we'd all just be winding down, maybe studying for one or two big tests. We ain't in middle school anymore, that much is as clear as the space in a politians head. (because I like making lists) A brief overview of the Finals Frenzy...

Day 1...
Period 1, History-Speech and paper on Gandhi (due Tuesday), and a HUGE test

Period 2, Biology--HUGE test. That class isn't so bad

Period 3, Journalism--Our class is making our own edition, and I got stuck being the Feature Editor. I have to design the feature page as well as write 2 stories, and get pictures for 2.

Period 4, Geometry--A CIM work sample and a HUGE test

Day 2...
Period 1, English--Reading To Kill A Mockingbird. To me, it's perhaps one of the most boring books ever written.

Period 2, Resource--Thank god for resource. It's the only time where I can get any of this done.

Period 3, Health--Honestly, I have no clue what the big thing in this class is. I'm just dreading the day when it ends, because then we have to take PE, the most terrifying class in the world.

Period 4, Band--The true meaning of fear. Speeches, tests, boring books. I can handle all of them. But playing a solo in front of someone is one of those things that sends a chill down my spine.

January is my new enemy
